Now that we’re all a few weeks removed from the sugar-laden, overstimulating, food and alcohol comatose we call the “holiday season”, I think it’s a good time to talk about some 2016 adventures. I got to welcome the New Year by doing what I love – bringing new music to life in the studio! I look forward to sharing it in with you in 2016. This means there may be some accompanying visual stimulus to go with the new audio experience. And I have a few upcoming shows at some fantastic venues. (http://www.mesajane.com/live.php) Cheers to 2016!
2015 brought lots of great things for me musically including playing festivals, being nominated for awards, radio play all the over the map, songwriting and collaborating with new people, and meeting new friends and fans. #SoGrateful
2015 also brought some challenges in my personal life including watching my mom’s mental health decline to the point where she suddenly stopped talking to me or returning my calls. After about three months of stomaching that, I decided to get it out musically and wrote and recorded a demo about how I felt at Christmas time. There are more details regarding the backstory as well as a video with old sentimental photos at the link below. So long 2015…
So, I’m just standing here doing the “I’ve got me a new video” happy dance because https://www.jenisisfilms.com gave me the gift of an ‘official’ video for “Haunt You”. It literally blows my DIY video out of the water. Ok, maybe not literally. How does one actually blow something out of the water anyway? I digress. Here’s a link to the video. Hope you like it! https://youtu.be/5Z-6RDrTSTk
Yes, I dressed up for 93.7 WSTW’S Hometown Heroes even though it’s not recorded on video, haha, but you can hear the pocast for the next two weeks at http://www.wstw.com/archive/ Thank you SO much Mark Rogers for having me!! It was a truly an honor and a pleasure!
These are WSCA 106.1 FM’s most played Rock/Pop albums from 2014, in alphabetical order. I am feeling the Christmas Holiday vibe so I shall not divulge the rankings, though there were some albums tied. But all were played more than the latest releases from Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, Chrissie Hynde, Morrissey, Ziggy Marley, among other notable artists. Also listed are the most played songs from the albums. Feel free to spread the word on your website & social media pages, and tell your bandmates, spouses, parents, best friend, postal carrier, mechanic, parole officer, an elementary school teacher, counselor, and that person at that store you have a crush on.

The kind people at WESS 90.3 in East Stroudsburg, PA were kind enough to invite me to be interviewed during their Fall Fest programming, which happened to be right before my record release. Questions about the new release, musical influences, and more are answered right HERE! Whoa. https://soundcloud.com/mesajane/wess-903-interview-with-dj-jam
